Dogs in the Abbey Grounds & Hospitality Accommodation
Visitors’ dogs are permitted on site but must not be allowed to foul nor be exercised in public areas: they are not allowed on playing fields, even on a lead.
It is the owner’s responsibility to keep a dog on a lead and under close control at all times, to clean up any mess immediately and to dispose of it away from Abbey & College premises.
A dog may not be brought onto the premises if it has a history of aggressive behaviour.
We have a no pet’s policy in our guest accommodation, the exception to this is assistance dogs, which would include dogs for the blind or visually impaired, or dogs for the deaf or hard of hearing.
Dogs should not be left in vehicles as this can cause suffering.
Local kennels to Ampleforth are:

The inclusion of the above boarding kennels contact details is provided for information only. It does not indicate that Ampleforth Abbey & College endorses or commends the firm in anyway.
